Qatar Customs has foiled an attempt to smuggle 62.7 kilograms of hashish into the country.

The huge quantity of hashish was wrapped and hidden inside watermelons.
"The department of Alruwais customs in maritime customs administration has foiled the smuggling of 62.700 kg of prohibited hashish, after the suspicion of customs employees of the shipment containing fruits, the employees found items wrapped in a secret way," Qatar Customs wrote on Twitter.
تمكنت إدارة الجمارك البحرية متمثلة في قسم جمرك ميناء الرويس من إحباط عملية تهريب مادة الحشيش الممنوعة، وذلك بعد اشتباه موظفي الجمارك بشحنة تحتوي على فواكه،وقد بلغ الوزن الإجمالي للمواد المضبوطة 62.700 كيلو غرام.

The authority has not disclosed how many people were involved in the crime, nor their nationalities.
