Qatar has strongly condemned a suicide bombing that took place during afternoon worship at a mosque in Peshawar, Pakistan, on Monday, January 30th. 

The attack left dozens of people dead and injured more than 150 worshippers. The death toll rose to 87 on Tuesday morning, hospital officials said.

Qatar's Ministry of Foreign Affairs reiterated the country's firm stance that rejects violence and terrorism, as well as the targeting of places of worship.

The ministry offered condolences and sympathy to the families of the victims and to the government and the people of Pakistan.
