For the Ramadan of 1443 AH – 2022 Ramadan, Qatar Charity (QC) has started the 'Ramadan of Hope' campaign, which aims to help more than two million individuals in 40 countries, including Qatar.

Mr. Ahmad Yousef Fakhroo, CEO's Assistant for Resources Development and Media at QC, Mr. Faisal Rashid Al Fehaida, CEO's assistant for Programs and Community Development, Mr. Khalid Abdulla Alyafei, Director of the Department of Programs and International Development, and other QC officials attended a press conference at Qatar Charity's headquarters to announce the launch of the 133 million QAR campaign.

"On the occasion of the holy month of Ramadan, Qatar Charity extends its heartfelt congratulations and sincere wishes to the Qatari leadership, government, citizens, and residents," said Mr. Ahmad Yousef Fakhroo at the press conference, praying to Allah for peace, harmony, and happiness throughout the world.

Fakhroo also expressed gratitude to the donors for their ongoing support of Qatar Charity's projects throughout the year, as well as their generous contributions to previous Ramadan drives. He encouraged them to continue supporting this year's campaign in order to reach the intended beneficiaries, which include internally displaced people (IDPs), refugees, and the underprivileged around the world. He also recognized the importance of media and social media influencers in supporting Qatar Charity's various projects and campaigns.

Mr. Fakhroo stated that Qatar Charity has chosen 'For a Dignified Life' as the slogan for its 'Ramadan of Hope' drive, believing that granting restores hope for a safer and more stable life, as well as helping the underprivileged realize their hope for a dignified life.

He urged philanthropists to make this Ramadan a fresh start by contributing to the creation of hope for the underprivileged and deprived, as well as meeting their basic needs, in order to make a positive difference in their lives.

“The ‘Ramadan of Hope’ drive, with the support of philanthropists, aspires to implement several seasonal projects in Qatar during Ramadan to benefit workers, low-income families and orphans,” said Mr. Faisal Rashid Al Fehaida.

Al Fehaida noted that as part of the 'Alaqraboon' initiative, the campaign also seeks to provide assistance to those in debt, widows, and individuals in need, in addition to implementing numerous awareness and cultural projects and voluntary initiatives.

He stated that nearly one million individuals in Qatar are expected to benefit from the 100 million QAR Ramadan projects, as well as from the various community initiatives. Several seasonal projects are included within the Ramadan campaign, including 'Feed the Fasting' (food packages and Iftar meals), Zakat al-Fitr, 'Eid Clothing,' 'Eid Gift' for orphans and children from low-income families, and the 'Ramadan Gift.'

While carrying out the projects of its Ramadan drive, Qatar Charity will take precautionary measures against the covid-19. The food packages and meals will only be distributed as part of the 'Feed the Fasting' project.

Qatar Charity also intends to provide 84 million QAR social assistance, enact community and cultural programs, and produce media and social media programs as part of its Ramadan activities in Qatar.
