According to the Qatar Calendar House (QCH), it has been announced that Monday the 19th, June 2023, will mark the first day in the month of Dhul Hijjah for the year 1444H.

The new crescent moon for the month will appear on Sunday at 7:38 am. It will be visible in Qatar's skies until approximately 30 minutes after the sun sets.
The Qatar Calendar House stated that the official announcement at the start of Dhul Hijjah month is still the prerogative of the Crescent investigation committee.
Dhul Hijjah is the twelfth and the last month of the Islamic Hijri calendar. It is the month in which Hajj takes place, and pilgrims perform Hajj as well as the Eid Al Adha celebrations start.
