A number of essential commodities such as rice, milk and dairy products, sugar, flour, cooking oil, and butter will become cheaper.
The discount will also be valid for noodles, cereals and corn flakes, juices, coffee, salt, dates, bottled water, tissue paper, pastries, legumes, frozen vegetables, poultry, eggs, meat products, tomato paste, tea, ghee, yeast, garbage bags, and more.
The new prices have been set in coordination with major sales outlets such as Al Meera, Carrefour, and Lulu on the occasion of the advent of the holy month, the ministry added.

This year's list of discounted products is bigger than the 2022 list, which covered only 800 consumer goods.
The holy month of Ramadan is tentatively scheduled to begin on Thursday, March 23rd, and end on April 21st. The dates are subject to change on the basis of moon sightings.
