Qatar's athlete Almoez Ali has been nominated for the AFC Player of the Year Award and the awards ceremony will take place in Doha on Oct. 31.

Ali has received the nomination for the AFC Player of the Year Award two times. 

Ali plays for the Qatar Stars League team Al-Duhail. He is the captain of this football club as well. 

Ali also plays for Qatar's national team.

Ali was part of the Qatar team that won the AFC Asian Cup in 2019, when he scored nine goals for the team, which made a record for most goals scored at the Asian Cup.

Almoez Ali appeared in his 200-game mark for Al Duhail SC in 2022 and became Qatar's joint all-time top scorer with 42 goals.

Alongside Ali, Saudi Arabia's Salem Al Dawasari and Australia's Mathew Leckie have also received nominations.

With this nomination, Ali continues to be an inspiration for aspiring athletes in Qatar!
