Qatar Allocates $1 Million in Relief Aid for Sudan

The Qatar Red Crescent Society (QRCS) announced that it has allocated $1 million in an urgent relief aid for war-torn Sudan.

The aid will be distributed in cooperation with the Sudanese Red Crescent Society (SRCS) and Sudanese Ministry of Health.
The amount will benefit more than 119,000 people belonging to 17,000 families.

QRCS said it will implement a six-month urgent intervention in the fields of health, nutrition, water, sanitation and shelter, in addition to non-food relief items.
On Sunday, a second Qatari aircraft has been sent to war-torn Sudan, carrying 22 tonnes of medical aid to assist those affected by the current conflict in Sudan.
