Qatar Airways will resume flights to Syria from Tuesday, Jan. 7, 2024. The airline will operate three weekly flights to the country's capital city Damascus.
The decision has come about as the airline reinforces its commitment to regional connectivity and supporting passengers' demands.
The announcement comes after Qatar recently reopened its embassy in Syria after the end of Bashar Al Assad's dictatorship.
Qatar Airways recently resumed its Doha-Canberra flights after a four-year hiatus. The airline also resumed flights to Lebanon, which were temporarily suspended because of security concerns caused by the Israel's war in the country.
