Recently, Qatar Airways announced that it has soared to the top of the social media rankings, boasting 47 million followers across various platforms. This makes Qatar Airways the number-one airline globally on channels like Facebook, YouTube, and TikTok. The carrier has also left its competitors, such as AirAsia Group, Emirates Group, Singapore Airlines Group, and Qantas Group, in its wake in the social media follower race.

From 26 Million to 47 Million: A Remarkable Growth
Just a few years ago, in 2020, Qatar Airways had 26 million followers across all social media platforms. Since then, its digital presence has exploded. Notably, the airline has held the number one spot on Facebook since 2014, making it a long-time leader in the space.
New Leadership, New Goals
With the recent transition in leadership, Qatar Airways is poised for continued success. The new CEO, Engr. Badr Mohammed Al-Meer, took over after Akbar Al Baker, who had been at the helm for 27 years since the airline's inception.
