At the Arabian Travel Market in Dubai, Qatar Airways CEO Akbar Al Baker announced the airline's support for Riyadh Air, a new Saudi Arabian airline. He also unveiled plans to add new and returning destinations in Saudi Arabia.
In addition, the CEO of Qatar Airways, Akbar Al Baker, revealed plans for new flights to the United Arab Emirates and suggested that the airline may explore potential codeshare partnerships or technical support with Riyadh Air while attending the ATM exhibition in Dubai.

Qatar Airways will expand its network by adding Tabuk and resuming services to Yanbu, both located in Saudi Arabia. The airline already flies to Abu Dhabi, Dubai, and Sharjah, and will soon begin services to Ras Al Khaimah in the UAE.
