This decision follows the selection of four schools by the ministry to pilot the implementation of the project. The distribution of pre-kindergarten facilities across various areas will be carried out based on specific regulations and criteria.
According to Maryam Al Buainain, the director of the Early Education Department at the Ministry of Education and Higher Education (MoEHE), necessary arrangements have been made to enroll the first group of children in the initial pilot phase at four selected kindergartens.
The four chosen kindergartens for this pilot phase are Al Manar Model Kindergarten for Boys in Ar-Rayyan, Abu Hanifa Kindergarten for Boys in the Doha Municipality, Kindergarten Zekreet Independent Primary Girls, and Al Khwarizmi Kindergarten for Girls.
Al Buainain highlighted that these kindergartens were selected based on specific criteria such as population density, gender representation, and the number of children. This selection ensures a positive and appropriate experience during the initial pilot stage while meeting the actual demand for pre-kindergarten education.
“Each academic class accommodates 16 students only, with two teachers, and an assistant teacher,” Al Buainain stated.
