Qatar's Ali Arshid delivered a commendable performance at the Paris 2024 Paralympic Games, securing sixth place in the men's 100m T34 final with a time of 15.42 seconds.

The event, held at the iconic Stade de France, saw Thailand's Chaiwat Rattana clinch gold.
Tunisia's multiple Paralympic medal winner and the 100m world record holder Walid Ktila received a silver medal with 15.14 seconds. Canada's Austin Smeenk secured a bronze medal with a time of 15.19 seconds.
Another athlete from the Gulf region, UAE's Mohammed Othman ranked fifth in the men's 100m-T34 final.
Although, Arshid has already made his country proud by securing the sixth spot in the 100m-T34 final, he is scheduled to compete in the men's 800m-T34 on Thursday, Sep. 6.
