Early Discounts for More Savings
The ministry stated that launching the initiative early gives consumers enough time to take advantage of lower prices before Ramadan begins. The goal is to help ease financial burdens and ensure families have access to affordable essentials.
What’s Included in the Discounts
The initiative covers a variety of must-have items, including:
- Food staples: Flour, sugar, rice, pasta, chicken, cooking oil, and milk.
- Non-food essentials: Tissues, aluminum foil, and household cleaning products.
Ensuring Compliance and Consumer Rights
MOCI has pledged strict monitoring of commercial outlets to ensure adherence to the discounted pricing policy. Consumers are encouraged to make responsible purchases and report any pricing violations. Complaints and feedback can be submitted through the ministry’s official communication channels.
