Official Hospitality Sees Record-Breaking Sales Before The World Cup
With just 100 days until the FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022, Match Hospitality reports that sales for the Official Hospitality program at the forthcoming tournament are still rising at record rates.
The 2014 FIFA World Cup in Brazil, which established the record for the most hospitality packages sold to date for a sporting event, has resulted in revenue that is currently 29% more than that realized at the same time last year.

Mexico, the United States, the United Kingdom (UK), and Argentina are now the countries with the biggest number of hospitality packages acquired for the forthcoming tournament, according to Match Hospitality's 2022 sales data.
European markets are also showing a lot of interest, with the UK, Switzerland, France, and Spain exhibiting the highest levels of curiosity and purchasing activity. Qatar, Saudi Arabia, and the United Arab Emirates are the three countries in the Middle East with the fastest revenue growth rates, and 38% of all hospitality packages have been bought in the local (Qatar) market to date.
Three countries that have never sent a team to a FIFA World Cup are also among the "top 10" countries purchasing hospitality packages: Bangladesh, India, and Hong Kong. This is another indication of how popular the FIFA World Cup is in developing countries.
