Munir Mohamedi "The Coincidence Hero" in the Absence of Yassin Bono
Usually, the emergency participation of some players is an opportunity to record a historical presence, especially in the World Cup, and this is what happened with Munir Al-Mohammadi, the Moroccan goalkeeper.
Yassin Bono, the main goalkeeper who plays in Sevilla, Spain, was preparing to guard the Moroccan national team’s den in the Belgium match in the second round of Group F competitions in the 2022 World Cup, on Sunday 27 November evening.

Bono participated in chanting the national anthem with his colleagues before the match, but it became clear that he was suffering from an injury that prevented him from playing, so substitute goalkeeper Munir Mohamedi entered.
Mohamedi gave his teammates confidence early on, as he succeeded in saving a dangerous opportunity from Belgian striker Michy Batshuayi.
With the start of the second half, the substitute goalkeeper succeeded in deflecting a dangerous shot from Eden Hazard, captain of the Belgian national team, specifically in the 57th minute.
The goalkeeper, who plays in the Saudi League, specifically at Al-Wehda Club, maintained his stability over the minutes and made a second heroic scene by saving a powerful shot from Dries Martins, brilliantly removing it from his goal.
Mohamedi contributed to the clean sheet of the Moroccan national team in its historic victory over Belgium with two goals to nil, to approach qualification for the round of 16 of the ongoing World Cup finals in Qatar.
Before facing Belgium, El-Mohammadi’s last appearance with Morocco was on March 29, during the playoff match to determine the qualifier for the 2022 World Cup, where he contributed to the victory of the “Atlas Lions” over the Democratic Republic of the Congo, 4-1.
Al Mohammadi, who made his international debut in a friendly match against Uruguay in March 2015, has played 44 caps for Morocco.
It is worth noting that Morocco's main goalkeeper, Yassine Bono, was surprisingly absent from the match, where Walid Regragui, the coach of the Moroccan national team, announced the starting line-up before the start of the match, which witnessed the presence of Yassine Bono.
The Sevilla goalkeeper entered the stadium normally and shook hands with Thibaut Courtois, his counterpart in the Belgium national team who also plays in the Spanish League with Real Madrid.
Bono also participated in chanting the national anthem of the Moroccan national team, before everyone was surprised that Munir Mohamedi was the main goalkeeper.
According to press reports, Yassin Bono suffered a sudden injury and felt dizzy just before the start of the match.
According to the rules of the International Federation of Football Associations, the individual is not counted as the main player in the match before the start whistle is blown, as any player from the team list may be replaced before the start of the match.
