On Monday, the Mosques Department of the Ministry of Endowments and Islamic Affairs (Awqaf) opened the Al Kaldari Mosque located in the Lusail area. The mosque covers an area of 1932 square meters and has a capacity to hold around 400 worshippers.
As part of Qatar National Vision 2030 and in response to the country's urban growth and population increase, the Ministry of Endowments and Islamic Affairs (Awqaf) has initiated a plan to enhance and expand several mosques across the country.

The newly opened Al Kaldari Mosque, which was donated by Mohammed Ali Abdullah Kaldari, is a significant milestone in this plan.
Within the Al Kaldari Mosque, there is a main prayer hall that has the capacity to hold 357 worshippers, as well as a separate women's hall that can accommodate up to 55 worshippers. The mosque also has parking facilities, including designated spots for individuals with special needs.
