The Ministry will double the share of evaporated milk, rice, sugar, and oil from March 15th to March 31st.
This initiative is supposed to support citizens as it allows them to benefit from rationed goods during Ramadan when food expenses account for most of the household expenses.
The Ministry also announced that food supplies and subsidized goods are the rights of citizens and must not be relinquished at any cost. The Ministry also explained the importance of keeping the ration card and its security code in a secure place. A person's ration card should not be used by anyone else to avoid legal accountability.
MoCI also reduced the prices of more than 900 consumer goods on Sunday.
