Starting September 1, those who have not cleared their dues will be prohibited from leaving Qatar through any of its borders, including land, sea, or air.
The fines can be paid via the Metrash2 app, the MoI website, traffic sections, or unified service centers. This discount applies to violations recorded up to three years ago.
In addition, the MoI has outlined conditions for obtaining a vehicle exit permit, which is now mandatory for mechanical vehicles leaving Qatar. The vehicle must have no outstanding traffic violations, and the final destination must be specified. Vehicles exempt from this requirement include those heading to GCC countries without violations and goods-transporting vehicles.
Furthermore, vehicles with Qatari plates that are abroad must return within 90 days, or face penalties, including administrative impoundment for up to 90 days. Failure to comply may also lead to the owner being referred to Public Prosecution.
