Jewellery and Watches Exhibition Opens in Qatar
The 18th edition of the Doha Jewellery and Watches Exhibition opens on Monday 9 May at the Doha Exhibition and Convention Center and is considered the longest-running and most anticipated exhibition in the calendar of annual business events in Qatar.
The exhibition is organized by Qatar Tourism and its days have been extended to open its doors to the public from Monday 9 May to Saturday 14 May 2022

The Doha Jewellery and Watches Exhibition, in its 18th edition, promises to showcase luxurious designs from classic and contemporary collections designed by internationally known brands and designers as well as local designers.
During this year's edition, Qatar Tourism will present more than 500 brands from more than 10 countries, some of which are participating for the first time. Bollywood star Alia Bhatt is the face of the promotional campaign for this year's Doha Jewellery and Watches Exhibition. Visitors to the luxury exhibition will also enjoy first-time performances, including workshops organized by various brands and film screenings inspired by the magic of the world of Jewellery in the Doha Jewellery and Watches Exhibition Hall, The Doha Jewellery and Watches Exhibition will also dedicate an exhibition space to highlight 10 unique local talents.
Being in the heart of the West Bay Area, visitors can easily access the Doha Exhibition and Convention Center via the Doha Metro, via a direct path from Terminal 1 to the Doha Exhibition and Convention Center metro station (red line), which leads directly to the exhibition halls.
The Doha Exhibition and Convention Center has been certified by the "Clean Qatar" program for preventive and precautionary measures for COVID-19, giving visitors the reassurance, they need to enjoy a safe shopping experience at this year's edition of the exhibition.
In a related context, the Qatar Chamber of Industry and Commerce sees the inauguration of the first laboratory in the State of Qatar to calibrate minerals and precious stones, examine and classify diamonds, and ensure their quality and purity, an important achievement no less than the great achievements achieved by the state at various levels.
This step confirms Qatar's global reputation in the Jewellery and diamond trade sector, in order to enhance confidence between the merchant and those concerned with acquiring precious stones.
With the inauguration of a laboratory for calibration of minerals and precious stones, Qatar will be the first Arab country to educate the public about the importance of diamond classification, and to reduce fraud in this field, through a laboratory equipped with the latest equipment used globally. To examine the diamonds by a professional group of technical and technical cadres trained at the International Gemological Institute
In the same context, Mrs. Enas Mohammed, a pioneer in Jewellery design, and one of the founders of the Calibration Laboratory for Minerals and Gemstones said: This laboratory, with its scientific and academic components, is a qualitative achievement that is witnessing a qualitative achievement in the comprehensive advancement of the State of Qatar.
