Following his departure from Paris Saint-Germain, Lionel Messi is all set to make a surprise MOVE to Inter Miami CF in Major League Soccer, the Argentine superstar announced on Wednesday.
"I have made the decision that I am going to Miami. I still don't have it agreed upon 100% and a few things are needed, but well, we decided to continue my path there," Messi said putting an end to weeks of rumors over the Argentine player's future.

Messi will play outside of Europe for the first time in his career when he relocates to the US. Even though Messi's PSG contract doesn't expire until June 30, the club was aware that this past season would be his last with them.
"After winning the World Cup and not being able to return to Barcelona, it was my turn to go to the league of the United States to live football in another way and to enjoy the day-to-day more. Obviously, with the same responsibility and desire to play well and do things well as always. But in a calmer way."
Messi started his professional career at Barcelona, where he joined as a 13-year-old young player and finished as the club's all-time leading goal scorer and record-appearance maker. Messi also won 10 La Liga trophies and four Champions League titles during his time at the club.
“I really wanted, I was very excited to be able to return (to Barcelona), but after having experienced what I experienced and the exit I had, I did not want to be in the same situation again – waiting to see what was going to happen."
“I heard that they had to sell players or lower players’ salaries and the truth is that I didn’t want to go through that, nor take charge of obtaining something that had to do with all that.”
Messi has been associated with Inter Miami for a while, and the team has been aiming to sign him since it was founded in 2018. The Argentine player turned down offers from many other teams, including Al Hilal of the Saudi Arabian Pro League.
