However, no deal has been finalized yet.

The Writers Guild of America (WGA) announced the tentative agreement in a joint statement with the Alliance of Motion Picture and Television Producers (AMPTP), representing studios, streaming services, and production companies in negotiations.

Hollywood writers went on strike on May 2 for the first time since 2007.

The writers were later joined by actors fighting for higher pay from streaming services.

Many top names in the Hollywood industry did not promote new films and shows because of the strikes, which affected box office revenue.

The release of the film 'Dune: Part Two' has been delayed, while Drew Barrymore also postponed the return of her talk show until the end of the writer's strike.

In a longer message from the guild shared by members on social media, the writers were told the strike was not over and they did not have to return to work until told otherwise.

Nonetheless, the message did emphasize that picketing must be suspended immediately.

The message assured that more details will be shared after a contract has been finalized.

Also, a deal is yet to be made for striking actors.

Details of the terms of the agreement have not been released.
