HH The Amir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani was welcomed with full state honors at Rashtrapati Bhavan on Tuesday as he embarked on a two-day visit to India.

HH The Amir’s visit, his second since 2015, comes at the invitation of Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi. Following the ceremonial reception, Sheikh Tamim exchanged greetings with Indian President Droupadi Murmu.
Later in the day, he will hold high-level talks with PM Modi at Hyderabad House, focusing on strengthening economic, trade, and diplomatic ties. The meeting will be followed by the signing of key Memoranda of Understanding (MOUs) between the two nations.
In the evening, President Murmu will host a state banquet in Sheikh Tamim’s honor at Rashtrapati Bhavan before his scheduled departure at 6:35 PM Dohat ime.
