This holiday honors Prophet Ibraham's willingness to give up all for God and is observed across the Muslim world.

For those celebrating Eid-Al Adha in Qatar, here's a list of places one can visit during the long break in the month of June.

1. Purple Island

Bin Ghannam Island, also known as Purple Island and situated in northeastern Qatar, is a must-see destination. The island is renowned for its natural beauty, unusual flora, and wildlife, and is perfect for a day's adventure for all age groups in the family. It is located close to Al Khor city, an hour's drive from Doha.

People who want to participate in simple sports like kayaking through mangroves or trekking while admiring the landscape can visit the location for a day's holiday.

2. Qanat Quartier

An exclusive and scenic neighborhood called Qanat Quartier Precinct is where the Arabian style and Venetian style come together.

The Qanat Quartier precinct at The Pearl Island is the State of Qatar's very own little Venice, with its low-rise buildings in soft colors, complex waterways, and pedestrian-friendly piazzas. A wide range of shops and outlets provide a wonderful shopping experience. The piano stairs are yet another well-known site to see in The Pearl Qatar. The staircase has 30 musical steps.

3. Tahitian Village

Tahitian Village is Trader Vic's outdoor extension, where fantastic dining selections and stunning sea views make it an ideal weekend escape from Doha City. This Doha island getaway lets you unwind in a tropical paradise. With an unlimited three-course Tiki set menu, a live DJ, and an exotic setting, Tahitian Village's unique Tiki Brunch is an enjoyable celebration to spice up your trip.

4. Souq Waqif

Souq Waqif, also known as the 'standing market' is located in Doha, Qatar, and is the ideal location to visit with family for the Eid break. In contrast to Doha's striking contemporary architecture, the Souq Waqif, which was constructed on the site of the city's century-old commercial bazaar on the banks of the Wadi Musheireb is totally a different and old construction. Spices, handicrafts, traditional clothing, and souvenirs are all available in the souq.

5. Al Khor Zoo

The best spot to entertain your children and closely look at Qatar's wild areas is Al Khor Park and Zoo. Al Khor Zoo, which covers an area of over 240,000 square meters, is also the biggest zoo in the nation.

The zoo, which has over 315 animals, 49 different bird species, and 290 different crocodile species, allows visitors to see mammals, marine creatures, and nocturnal animals. Other entertainment alternatives include a skating rink, a museum, a waterfall, a basketball court, and a separate play area for kids.

6. Katara Cultural Village

The Katara Cultural Village, often known as Katara, is a commercial and cultural complex in Doha, Qatar. As the place where the Middle East and Asia converge, Qatar, a tiny peninsular state, has long been a melting pot of cultures. With its restaurants, mosques, galleries, and architectural wonders, this location offers something for everyone.

7. Al Thakira Mangroves Forest

One of Qatar's oldest and largest such forests is Al Thakira, Mangrove Forest. It is located approximately eight kilometers (five miles) from the city of Al Khor. Visitors may see migrating birds like herons and flamingos, crabs, little fish, and gastropods there. Kayaking and stand-up paddling are two more adventurous activities to explore the nearby mangroves.
