Health Ministry Issues Guidelines for Hajj Vaccine

Here are the vaccinations that are obligatory for pilgrims this Hajj season.

Qatar's Ministry of Public Health has issued guidelines about the vaccination requirements for Hajj.

The conjugate quadrivalent (ACWY) vaccine for meningococcal meningitis is obligatory for all Hajj pilgrims aged one and above.
For individuals aged six to twelve years old, vaccines can be administered twice, two months apart.

The health ministry will also provide vaccines for seasonal influenza for ages six months and above.
They are also providing pneumococcal vaccine for pilgrims aged 65 and above. These vaccines will be provided for high-risk individuals as well.
The SARS-COV-2 (COVID-19) vaccine will be available for individuals aged 12 and above.
