Security Check:
Before you can enter our passenger concourse, your hand luggage must pass through the security check to be checked for prohibited items. First and Business Class passengers can use dedicated lanes.
Priority Processing
Priority processing is given to all Al Maha clients, Special Assistance Travelers, and Unaccompanied Minors when leaving Hamad International Airport.
You must also pass through a metal detector. The process will go much more easily if you:
- Make sure you don't have any prohibited stuff on you.
- Any personal liquid containers should be placed in a transparent, resealable plastic bag with a 1 liter maximum size. Each liquid container must hold no more than 100ml. Free resealable plastic bags are offered at the closest LAGs station.
- Before being checked, place your handbag with little objects inside. These include phones, purses, watches, wallets, keys, and other priceless items.
- Before passing through the metal detector, place any things that may have metallic components, such as a belt, into the security tray.
- All LAGs (Liquids, Aerosols, and Gels) purchased in Duty-Free locations outside of HIA must be sealed in STEBs (Security Tamper-Evident Bags) and have a receipt as proof of purchase. All those LAGs will be seized by the government if not packaged appropriately.
Please Be Aware That:
- Our walk-through metal detectors are safe for pregnant women and people with cardiac pacemakers.
- At the security staff's discretion, pregnant women and passengers with pacemakers may be excluded from going through metal detectors with the provision of a medical certificate. In this situation, they must submit to a physical examination by a female security officer.
Prohibited Items:
Please make sure you don't have any of the following prohibited things on you. These things will be taken away, and you won't ever be able to get them back.
- guns, weapons, and ammo
- replica toys for guns and other weapons
- things with blades longer than 6 cm that are sharp
- Explosives, incendiary materials, and equipment

Stopover With Alcohol in Doha:

- When leaving, use the "Goods subject to Customs" form if the goods are in a suitcase.
- You will receive a docket from a customs agent, which you have 14 days to collect.
- For collecting items
- After checking in, move on to concourse B after passing through immigration and security.
- "Customs Retained Goods" will be marked with signs. Please be aware that during local prayer times, the office may not be staffed.
