Anticipated Peaks
The airport foresees a departure peak starting from Thursday, June 13, 2024, extending through the weekend, followed by an arrival peak commencing on the weekend of June 20, 2024.
Travel Advice for Passengers
To ensure a smooth travel experience during this busy period, DOH offers the following guidance:
1. Online Check-In: Passengers are encouraged to check in online before reaching the airport to expedite the check-in process and reduce wait times.
2. Early Arrival: Arriving at the airport at least four hours before the scheduled flight departure time ensures ample time for check-in, security screening, and boarding procedures.
3. Self-Service Check-In and Bag-Drop: Qatar Airways passengers can utilize the airport's self-service check-in and bag-drop services for a quicker and more convenient check-in process.
4. E-Gate Machines: Citizens and residents over 18 are advised to use the airport's e-gate machines for faster immigration clearance.
5. Check-In & Boarding Closure Time: Passengers must complete the check-in process and proceed to the departure gate well within the stipulated timelines.
6. Baggage Allowance: Adhering to baggage allowance and weight restrictions specified by the airline is crucial to avoid additional fees or delays during check-in.
7. Luggage Recommendations: Passengers are advised to avoid non-standard or oversized luggage to facilitate smoother security screening and boarding processes.
8. Drop Offs and Pick-Ups: Utilizing short-term parking for drop-offs and pick-ups or opting for public transport can help ease congestion around the airport.
