The Ministry of Endowments and Islamic Affairs (Awqaf) has announced that registration for the 2024 Hajj season will open on Sunday, September 22, 2024, at 8 AM. The registration period will continue until October 22, 2024.

Early Registration Benefits

During a recent press conference, Ali bin Sultan Al Misifri, Director of the Department of Hajj and Umrah, shared that this early registration initiative aims to help Hajj campaigns organize their services better. The decision is based on the positive results from last year’s early registration.

Saudi Arabia’s Preparations

Al Misifri noted that the Saudi Ministry of Hajj and Umrah had already begun preparations for the upcoming season. This includes providing exceptional services to pilgrims and distributing quotas among countries. The ministry has also set timelines for essential arrangements like housing, food, transportation, and permits.

How to Register

Registration will be conducted through the website hajj.gov.qa. Following the registration phase, electronic sorting will begin, and applicants will receive approvals in November.

For Qatari pilgrims, the age requirement is at least 18 years, and they can register up to three companions. Gulf citizens and residents must be at least 45 years old and may register one companion, with a minimum of 15 years of residency in Qatar.

Simplified Registration Process

To make the process easier, the ministry will release a simple video guide explaining how to register. This video will be available on the Ministry’s social media platforms.

Currently, there are 27 licensed Hajj campaigns approved for this season. For any questions or complaints, the public can reach the Hajj and Umrah Affairs Department at the hotline (132) during official hours.
