Fifteen Home Business Activities Are Now Allowed With Easy Licensing

The Ministry of Commerce and Industry (MoCI) of Qatar has listed 15 home businesses with simple licensing requirements.

The manufacture of various Arabic delicacies, serving of meals on special occasions, tailoring and stitching of women's apparel, dressmaking, embroidery and making dresses, parcel and gift wrapping activities and website design are some examples of the permitted home businesses.
Also among the allowed home business activities are photocopying and photography activities, packaging documents, memos, bindings and letters, preparing perfumes and bukhoor, preparing cosmetics, and preparing pies and pastries, software maintenance, antiques and gifts, bookbinding, making and preparing coffee, spices and seasonings.

Applicants must submit a commercial license services application form, a building completion certificate or land plan, the owner's no objection, the license holder's undertaking, the To Whom It May Concern Certificate (Kahramaa), a copy of the applicant's and the owner's identity cards and the house's My Address number plate.
A single window online system will be available for applicants to use when applying for a home business license. Applicants do not need to physically fill out the forms if they are submitted online.

With this program, new opportunities for entrepreneurs and small businesses owners will be created, and people will be encouraged to work from home.
MoCI said that you can scan the QR code in the twitter post to get further details about the initiative or to submit documents for a home business license.
