On October 13, 2022, at the Novo Cinema - Mall of Qatar in Qatar, "The Legend of Maula Jatt" created South Asian cinema history with a star-studded red-carpet debut. For the international premiere of the eagerly awaited film with a glittering star line-up, FAB Entertainment, an entertainment firm with a base in Qatar, teamed together with Qatar Tourism.

A stellar cast in attendance

Fawad Khan, Mahira Khan, Gohar Rasheed, and Faris Shafi were among the renowned cast members present, along with the movie's director Bilal Lashari and producer Ammara Hikmat. The movie is a remake of the 1979 Punjabi cult hit Maula Jatt, which played for many years in regional theaters. After being in the works for almost five years, this highly anticipated revival had the audience glued to their seats with an encounter that delighted all of the senses.

The actors, director, and producer of the movie all appeared at the Mall of Qatar's Oasis, drawing people like a tidal wave. The cast mingled with the excited audience and shared how happy they were to be in Qatar for The Legend of Maula Jatt's debut. Faris Shafi gave a live performance for the audience as well, to loud applause. Mahira Khan commented, "I don't think we could've had a greater first international premiere than in Qatar," when speaking at the event. Fawad Khan continued, "And even if you don't speak Punjabi, it's okay; we want you to watch it twice or three times. Since this is the movie's sole international premiere, why not celebrate it with you guys in Doha?

First-day show earnings were given to Pakistani flood victims

The movie's creators have revealed that Pakistani flood victims will receive the first-day box office earnings. The film, which was directed by Bilal Lashari and was made by Ammara Hikmat (Encyclomedia), is Lashari's interpretation of the "Gandassa" subgenre and is set in the Pakistani province of Punjab. It tells the tale of Maula Jatt (Fawad Khan), a valiant and esteemed warrior who engages in a fierce duel with his arch-enemy Noori Natt (Hamza Ali Abbasi) in Mukkho Jatti is played by Mahira Khan, and Daaro Nattni is played by Humaima Malik.
