Chinese F1 driver Zhou Guanyu joined the Ferrari F1 team as a reserve driver after the driver exited Kick Sauber in 2024.

Zhou will be part of the reserve team, which includes Antonio Giovinazzi.
The Chinese driver had joined Kick Sauber in 2022 when it was backed by Alfa Romeo. He remained with the team until 2024, participating in 68 Grand Prix starts and topping up his points tally to 16.
In his new role as Ferrari's reserve driver, Zhou will support Ferrari's full-time drivers Charles Leclerc and seven-time world champion Lewis Hamilton.
Zhou will return to Ferrari since he was part of the Scuderia Ferrari Driver Academy from 2015 to 2018.
