Ammar Al Farsi, a nineteen-year-old university student took images of an amazing “Pink Lake” in Ras Al Khaimah in the UAE and it quickly spread on social media.
The images were taken 100 meters away from the coast at Saraya Islands, located in the Al Rams area of Ras Al Khaimah by a Drone.

The size of the lake is approximately 10m wide and 40m in length according to Al Farsi.

There are many pink lakes around the world, with the most famous one in Australia. According to science, the pink color comes from Halobacteria and the algae Dunaliella salina, as they both thrive in salty environments and secrete red pigments.
The Dead Sea has also witnessed this bacteria and algae flourish in its water as it’s extremely salty.
