Organized by students from Qatar Academy, the event is set to bring together a constellation of former and current football superstars.
The initiative seeks to raise funds to aid Palestinians affected by the ongoing challenges in the Gaza Strip. The match, scheduled to commence at 6:30 pm, will feature two teams, Qatar and Palestine, each comprised of a mix of renowned former and current football players.
The detailed line-up for the match is expected to be announced shortly, with participation anticipated from students of Qatar Academy Doha, the Palestinian School, members of the Qatar national team, and other international stars.
Led by a team of five Qatar Academy Doha students, the 'Stand With Palestine' event promises more than just a football match. The opening ceremony is set to last 25 minutes, featuring performances by artists such as Nasser Al Kubaisi, Dana Al Meer, and Nesma.
The football action will unfold over two halves of 30 minutes each, with an exciting drone show planned for the halftime break.
