Earthna Center Prepares for the Annual Qatar Sustainability Week
The goal of Qatar Sustainability Week is to advance sustainability at all levels by building on the successful foundation of the previous six years and promoting the health and wellness of Qatar's community.
The seventh iteration of Qatar Sustainability Week (QSW 2022), which is slated to take place from October 8 to 15, has been announced by the Earthna Centre for a Sustainable Future.

Through various programs, activities, and events held around the country, it aims to include the community in a range of sustainability-related activities to raise awareness of the problem and showcase the accomplishments made in Qatar over the past several years.
The national campaign's achievements over the previous six years, when more than 200,000 individuals had taken part in more than 1,260 events, will be built upon by QSW 2022.
A few of the activities and events planned for this year include tree planting at Heenat Salma Farm, the creation of multiple new recycling hubs, mangrove conservation with Mandarin Oriental, beach clean-ups with DEAP Qatar, gardening seminars, and the creation of community gardens at Hadiqaa.
As a new member of the Qatar Foundation, Earthna is a non-profit policy research and advocacy organization that was founded earlier this year. Its goal is to impact national and worldwide sustainability policy and practice by providing information about it.
Earthna Center is opened by the Qatar Foundation
The name Earthna is a play on words that combines Arabic and English and meaning "our earth."
In order to build a more sustainable future, the non-profit brings together a sizable community of technical and research experts, government, policy and decision-makers, businesses, multilateral institutions, and civil society. It does this by fusing technical and research expertise with policy advice and advocacy.
Whether it is through the establishment or promotion of the center, the Qatar Foundation is committed to thought leadership in policymaking. Additionally, it will broaden the network of local and international partnerships maintained by the Qatar Foundation.
Government agencies must work with a third party to help them establish and plan policy before putting it into effect. Earthna will have a part to play in this.
During QSW 2022, Earthna will work with a number of significant organizations, including Al Wakrah Municipality, Microsoft, Ooredoo, and the Qatar Free Zones Authority, as well as Msheireb Properties, Qatar Museums, Qatar Rail, Tarsheed/Kahramaa, Qatar National Bank, Education Above All, United Development Company, Seashore Recycling, and Sustainability, Qatar Tourism, and Qatar Free Zones Authority.
