Dubai is set to launch an initiative to support mother earth and the environment by working on becoming the world’s first paperless system by the end of 2021.
Dubai Media Office tweeted announcing, “The countdown to announce the Dubai Government as the world’s first paperless gov’t has begun.” He also tagged H.H Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammad bin Rashid Al Maktoum giving him credit for the initiative.

The initiative means that there will not be any usage of paper documents as everything will be done internally whether it is via applications, email and even online transactions.
One thing leads to another and the Dubai being and influential city in an influential country, the initiative has led to 41 government entities have cut their paper consumption by 83%, saving AED 1.13 billion.
