The Qatar Railways Company (RAIL) stressed the pivotal role played by the services of the Doha Metro and the Trams Lusail in facilitating the movement of passengers during the Eid Al-Fitr period and the temporary closure of the Corniche road between 3 and 5 May 2022, as seven stations are located within the Corniche area, including the National Museum, Souq Waqif, the Corniche, Al-Bidaa, the West Bay, and the Exhibition Center.
The Doha Metro Network covers most of Doha's main destinations, and the Lusail Tram is currently working through seven stations on the Orange Line in Lusail. Metro and tram networks during Eid al-Fitr allow the public to travel between main destinations, such as the main shopping malls, different event areas, gardens, and parks, as well as facilitating access to Hamad International Airport through the metro station.

The public can take advantage of the parking and commuting stands available around 12 metro stations to park their cars and follow their journeys through the metro. There are approximately 12,000 public parking spots available, including 2,500 at Umm ghuwailina station, 3,800 at Qatar University's Red Line station and 4,000 at Masila on the Green Line. These situations make it easier for the public to use the metro network, reach their destinations easily, avoid traffic congestion and search for parking.
With regard to associated services, Metrolink will continue to operate through 23 stations and MetroExpress will operate through eight stations as usual.
Al-Rail extended the working hours of the metro, tram, and associated services in response to the demand for services during Ramadan and the Eid al-Fitr holiday. It also offered a daily trip ticket to the public that can be purchased using ticket equipment at stations.

Doha Metro & Lusail Tram said in a tweet on April 16, 2022, that service hours had been extended till 1 a.m. for the dates April 17, 2022, through May 5, 2022.
