If you've been wondering who will be leading the 2025 Qumra program, the Doha Film Institute (DFI) has announced the lineup of Qumra masters for this year.

The program will feature the following Qumra Masters:
Lav Diaz
Diaz is one of the most renowned contemporary Filipino independent filmmakers. His 2013 film 'Norte, the End of History' was featured in the Un Certain Regard nominations for the 2023 Cannes Film Festival.
His film 'From What is Before' won the Golden Leopard won the Locarno International Film Festival and his 'The Women Who Left' won the Golden Lion at the 73rd Venice International Film Festival.
Diaz won the FAMAS Lifetime Achievement Award in 2018 and the Natatanging Gawad Urian (Gawad Urian Lifetime Achievement Award) in 2021.

Darius Khondji
Khondji is an Iranian-French cinematographer who is known for his work with renowned directors like Bong Joon-ho, David Fincher, Woody Allen, Jean-Pierre Jeunet, and James Gray. He has been nominated for two Oscars, a BAFTA, and three César Awards.
Walter Salles
Salles is one of the prominent figures of the Resumption Cinema in Brazil. He has won three Cannes Film Festival prizes, three Venice Film Festival prizes, two British Academy Film Awards, a Golden Bear, and a Golden Globe.

Anna Terrazas
Terrazas is a renowned costume designer who has collaborated with some of the most famous Mexican artists including her collaboration with Alfonso Cuarón on the 2018 Oscar-winning film 'Roma'.
Johnnie To
To is a Hong Kong filmmaker renowned for international successes like 'Breaking News', 'Election', 'Election 2', 'Exiled', 'Mad Detective', and 'Drug War'.
The filmmaker is known for his subdued realism, social observation, and highly stylized visual and acting elements.
The Qumra program will run from Apr. 4 to Apr. 9.
