Famous Swiss artist David Pflugi, who has created well-known pieces of art for the various world cup competitions since 1998, is creating large-scale artworks to symbolize Qatar, one of which measures over 4 meters in width and is titled "The Urge to Win." The ones he is now developing were built especially for Qatar.
One of his works of art changes as you go around it to become a flame, a flower, a football, a traditional Qatari boat on the waves, and the world cup trophy. It all depends on your point of view. At The Club Suisse Doha, this enchanted sculpture is painted every day together with other extraordinary works of art. David is frequently present at The Club, so you might even catch a glimpse of him in the process of creating a masterpiece.
Day in and day out, David Pflugi is transforming Club Suisse Doha into a mystical work of art. The artwork will be transported to be signed by the season's biggest names on December 12 in front of the Club Suisse Doha after it is finished, at the conclusion of the competition.
Additionally, The Club Suisse Doha will offer a number of live performances, including "Geschwister Rymann's" traditional Swiss folk music (Rymann Siblings), which is even more exciting news. From December 8–11, the live event at the Club Suisse Doha is free and open to everyone.
Alphorn, Ländler, and yodeling are three fantastic musical elements that make up Swiss folk music. You are certainly missing out if you haven't heard it before.
Visit The Club Suisse Doha if you are a fan of Switzerland or simply want to learn more about something new. Open from 2 pm to 12 am, watch and cheer on your favorite team, enjoy delicious food, listen to Swiss music, and live the Swiss experience right in the heart of Doha.
