Hamza's donation is equivalent to 136 hours of his prison labor as a porter/janitor within the prison walls. Working for a mere 13 cents per hour, Hamza's donation represents his entire life savings.

Hamza’s Prison Journey

In the 80s, during his teenage, Hamza's tragic mistake led to the death of his loved one, resulting in more than 40 years of imprisonment. After years of pleading for parole, a change in California law regarding parole for minors charged as adults has granted him the opportunity to walk free at the end of March this year.
