The legal battle began in December when Lively filed a lawsuit against Baldoni and his production company, Wayfarer Studios, accusing him of sexual misconduct and orchestrating a smear campaign against her post-release. The lawsuit, first reported by The New York Times, alleges Baldoni’s PR team worked to damage her reputation.
In response, Baldoni fired back with a $400 million lawsuit, claiming Lively was the one behind a defamation campaign that led to his agency dropping him. His lawsuit also targets The New York Times for libel and even includes claims against Lively’s husband, Ryan Reynolds, accusing him of interfering with the film’s production.
As the legal dispute escalates, both sides have reportedly submitted text messages, raw footage, and voice notes as evidence. A pre-trial hearing is set for February 3, where the next steps in this high-profile Hollywood feud will be determined.
