"Al-Adiyat" Sculpture: Unique Artwork Inspired by The Holy Quran
In a unique artwork, "Al-Adiyat" with a symbolism that stems from the environment of Qatar and represents the Qatari leadership and the people, the fine artist Fatima Al-Shaibani completed an artistic sculpture entitled " Al-Adiyat" sculpture.
Speaking about the unique and distinctive artwork, the artist Fatima said that the "Al-Adiyat" sculpture is an amazing bronze art sculpture that stems from the environment of Qatar and represents the Qatari people and their leadership.

The sculpture consists of nine horses digging the ground with their hooves and going upwards.
Al-Shaibani pointed out that, the "Al-Adiyat" sculpture symbolizes the leader who leads the march of the state, and behind him are his people, adding that the leader aspires to always take his people to the highest, the best, and the safe, carrying the flag, which is the flag of Qatar.
Regarding the idea that the artist is trying to convey through her artistic work, Al-Shaibani said: "The idea and meaning of the name Al-Adiyat, as mentioned in the Holy Qur'an: {وَالْعَادِيَاتِ ضَبْحًا}, which is meant by the horses running on its way to the enemy, who slash the fire from the hardness of their hoofs and slash stones with their hoofs when they attack ."
She explained that the artwork was inspired by Surat Al-Adiyat in the Holy Qur’an, which meant by this name is “horses” flying high in the sky like warplanes that were named by that name before.
The artist Fatima stated that the period of completion of the artwork reached eight months, from the first day until it was installed in the current location.
She explained: "The way to complete the work took me a lot of time and effort, because I am the type who supervises, and put his hand in all the steps from forming the clay mold to pouring the silicon until the process of melting and casting bronze, assembling it, polishing it, choosing the appropriate color, and then shipping and installing it on site."
About the date of the inauguration, Al-Shaibani said that the inauguration of the "Al-Adiyat Sculpture" will be with the inauguration of the St. Regis Hotel Island project, Marsa Arabia, very soon and before the World Cup, adding that the project contains many other beautiful artworks, as well as another work on the island from the other side of the "Ring of Love" sculpture. "
She stressed that the choice of the St. Regis Marsa Arabia Hotel project to inaugurate the sculpture is symbolic by those in charge of this project, and its intent is that it represents an interface for this place and represents the leader of this country and the wise leadership that Qatar is witnessing through the symbolism of horses and in an abstract and surreal artistic way.
Al-Shaibani added that the materials used in the "Al-Adiyat" sculpture are bronze, in addition to the LED lighting that highlights the details of the work.
