Colombian midfielder Mateus Uribe emerged as the hero for Al Sadd, slotting home the winning goal in the 118th minute to seal the triumph.

Al Sadd's journey to the title was marked by resilience and determination, overcoming the challenge of playing with ten men after Akram Afif received a red card in extra time.

Despite the setback, Uribe's clinical finish ensured that Al Sadd lifted the prestigious trophy for the first time in three years, capping off a remarkable season for the club.

"The Amir Cup title was a priority for me, and it’s like a dream come true. It was a collective effort, and I want to thank my teammates for their hard work in achieving this victory," Al Sadd's all-time top scorer Baghdad Bounedjah, who played his last game for the club yesterday, was quoted as saying by Gulf Times.

Al Sadd, who last month regained the Qatar Stars League title, completed a season double, which is also their 79th title overall.
