AFC Asian Cup Qatar 2023 have broken the tournament's historic attendance record of 1.04 million with a total of 1,068,587 attendees in 2024, according to the AFC Asian Cup's Local Organizing Committee (LOC).
The latest edition of the AFC Asian Cup has drawn football fans from across Asia.
The opening match at Lusail Stadium witnessed the attendance of 82,490 spectators, which made the opening match the most-attended opening match in the history of the AFC Asian Cup.
The attendance for the opening match also made the highest attendance for a Qatar home game.
The AFC Asian Cup also witnessed many firsts on the pitch itself! AFC Asian Cup debutants Tajikistan managed to advance to the quarter-finals and for the first time in AFC Asian Cup history, Palestine and Indonesia made it past the group stage.
