Abu Dhabi Urges Residents To Get COVID Booster Shot Before Deadline

Abu Dhabi Media Office reminded residents to get their COVID-19 booster shot. Those who received their second dose of Sinopharm vaccine more than six months ago are required to get a booster shot to maintain their green status on the Al Hosn app before September 20 deadline.

The booster jabs are necessary to "enhance immunity and to comply with approved health protocol," the Abu Dhabi Media Office said on Twitter.
The Ministry of Health and Prevention clarified that booster shots are unnecessary for other vaccines, adding that any changes will be broadcast through the official channels.
The Department of Health in Abu Dhabi (DoH) provides COVID-19 vaccines for children, senior citizens, and residents, and the required booster dose, without prior booking at all SEHA vaccination centers.

Meanwhile, all passengers flying into the UAE capital must register on the Federal Authority For Identity and Citizenship (ICA) Smart Travel Service starting August 27.
Etihad Airways issued these guidelines, which will apply to adults, children, and infants, even if they travel onward to Dubai or another emirate. However, this doesn’t include UAE nationals or transit passengers.
