A major sponsor withdrew their sponsorship from the Paris Olympics 2024 after the controversial 'The Last Supper' performance at the tournament's opening ceremony.
The sponsor is a technology and telecommunications business based in Mississippi called C Spire.

The company stated, "We were horrified to see the Last Supper mocked at the Paris Olympics opening festivities. We at C Spire have decided to discontinue our Olympic advertising."

A group of drag queens and other performers enacted a parody of Leonardo Da Vinci's 'The Last Supper' at the opening ceremony of the Olympics.
The performance was criticized heavily by Christian groups and conservative politicians.
The organizers of the Paris Olympics issued an apology after the heavy criticism, however, C Spire has still pulled out its sponsorship of the tournament.
