The Chief Operating Officer of Qatar Tourism, Berthold Trenkel, stated: "There are new beaches for those looking for sun, sea, and sand; theme parks and water sports hotels for the daring; and dozens of new resorts, spas, and restaurants for guests looking for a more peaceful getaway.
Qatar intends to take advantage of the anticipated influx of over a million tourists for the FIFA World Cup 2022 by showcasing its undiscovered gems and unbeatable travel opportunities.
The top 5 attractions are as follows:
Winter Wonderland
For the Doha Winter Wonderland, which will open on a sandy island in Qatar later this year, remember to bring your sunglasses and sunscreen.
Visitors to Doha Winter Wonderland will be able to lounge on the beach in mid-20°C temps rather than the extremely cold conditions that greet visitors at the renowned sister event in London's Hyde Park.
Beach Kite Fuwairit (FKB)
Fuwairit, a coastal community about an hour north of Doha, is home to FKB, a brand-new, state-of-the-art kite beach resort. Fuwairit offers excellent kitesurfing conditions thanks to consistent winds, crystal-clear ocean water, and powder-soft sands.
Everything you need on the water and even more when you are not provided by the resort, which was designed with the kitesurfer's lifestyle in mind.
The Al Barari Outpost
The Outpost, a beautiful resort in the world's only Inland Sea natural reserve, will be the first of its type in Qatar and combines eco-awareness, sustainability, and opulent hospitality.
The location of the desert experience is in Qatar's Al Wakrah Municipality, which is located along the Saudi Arabian border in the southeast of the country.
Qetaifan Island North
Qetaifan Island North, which is being marketed as Qatar's first "Entertainment Island," will have floating hotels, beach clubs, and a water park with 36 rides, including "The Icon Tower" zone, which has an 85-meter-high slide that is expected to be the world's highest of its kind.
The island, which spans 1.3 million square meters, is close to the Lusail Stadium, the site of the FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022 final.
West Bay North Beach Project
In the center of Doha, a sizable new tourism development called West Bay North Beach is being constructed. It will span 40,000 square meters of first-rate beachfront.
Three different beach experiences will be offered in the public and private beach sections, together with a variety of food and drink choices, to create a sought-after city beach experience that can be enjoyed by anyone.
