300 Participants in the Neshan Vodafone Shooting Tournament
The Qatar Shooting and Archery Federation revealed the details of the Neshan Vodafone Ramadan Shooting Tournament, which will be held at the Lusail Fields Complex during the period from 11 to 20 April, with the participation of 300 shooters from amateurs, Qatari professionals, and residents. This came during a press conference held by the organizing committee of the tournament at the headquarters of the Committee. Qatar Olympic Games in the presence of Abdul Aziz Al-Tamimi, Secretary-General of the Qatar Shooting Association and director of the tournament, Sheikh Mohammed Salman Al-Thani, head of the technical committee in the tournament, Ali Al-Abdullah, representative of Vodafone Qatar, Saad Al-Mana, an executive member of the board of directors of "Mazzraty", in addition to a number of representatives of various media.

The organizing committee confirmed the completion of the preparations for the championship, which will witness the establishment of 4 competitions in the pistol, rifle, and shotgun, in addition to the bow and arrow.
This edition will also witness a festival of accompanying community activities with the allocation of more than 40 games related to shooting sports for children under the age of 15, in addition to horse riding.
The organizing committee invited all segments of society to attend and enjoy the atmosphere of the tournament in a wonderful Ramadan atmosphere at Lusail shooting ranges.
Ali Ateeq Al-Abdullah, Head of the Media Relations and Social Responsibility Committee at Vodafone, the official sponsor of the tournament, thanked the Qatar Olympic Committee, the Qatar Shooting Federation, and everyone who participated in organizing the Nishan Tournament and the accompanying festival.
And he said, "We are happy to sponsor and support the Nishan Championship and the accompanying festival, and we are proud of our strong relationship with the Qatar Olympic Committee, and we hope to create a festive atmosphere for visitors throughout the days of the championship during the blessed month."
He added, "Vodafone Qatar continues to support and sponsor community activities, believing in the role of sport in educating the community to adopt a healthy lifestyle."
Abdulaziz Al-Tamimi, Secretary-General of the Shooting Federation and Director of the Ramadan Nishan Tournament, considered that this tournament has become one of the best and most powerful tournaments that are held during the blessed month of Ramadan, as it increases in brilliance and success year after year thanks to the sincere efforts of its employees, Considering that it is an opportunity for those who missed their stardom from the shooters throughout the season tournaments.
Al-Tamimi said during the press conference, “This tournament provides the opportunity for all shooting lovers to practice playing and opens the door to everyone who sees himself as talented, in addition to spreading the culture of the game in all parts of the country.”
The director of the tournament stressed that this edition will be completely different from the other versions in terms of the accompanying events, pointing out the keenness of the Shooting Federation to make the participants live an enjoyable experience through new ideas and surprises that the event will witness over the ten days.
Al-Tamimi thanked the Olympic Committee, led by His Excellency Sheikh Joaan bin Hamad Al Thani, who expressed his keenness to make this tournament a success. He also thanked the official sponsors, Qatar Volunteer Center and Al Ramy Sports Club for their great support for the tournament.
Sheikh Mohammed bin Salman Al Thani, head of the Technical Committee, stressed the high demand for registration in the championship competitions, noting that the organizing committee allocated financial prizes estimated at 320,000 Qatari riyals, with the introduction of new prizes for the best five competitors in the women’s category and two prizes for the oldest 2 shooters and the youngest 2 of the participants.
