Algeria is Ready to Send Troops to Gaza

Algerian President Abdelmadjid Tebboune emphasized his country's continued support for Palestinians and said on Monday, Aug. 19 that his country will send troops to the Gaza Strip.

Tebboune is running again for the presidential elections in the country and emphasized that he is ready to send troops to rebuild the Gaza Strip.

On the fourth day of his election campaign at Constantine, in northeast Algeria, Tebboune said, "We will never abandon Palestine, especially Gaza. I swear to the God Almighty that if the borders between Egypt and Gaza are reopened, we are ready to send troops and help rebuild the Gaza Strip."

The Algerian president promised to send troops to Gaza once the borders are reopened between Egypt and Gaza. 

Tebboune also revealed that his country is ready to build three equipped hospitals in Gaza within 20 days. The Algerian president also said that he is ready to send hundreds of physicians to Gaza.

Tebboune made this speech for his election campaign ahead of the Algerian presidential election, which is on Sep. 7.
